Everyone's eyes are different, and so are the types of lenses used for vision correction. The lens type is the main characteristic of a spectacle lens. Single Vision, Progressive, Extended Focus or Bifocal. PSG has a solution for everyone.

Single Vision

Single vision lenses are prescribed for one aspect of your vision and have a single power over the entire lens. Single vision lenses are prescribed for distance vision when driving; intermediate vision (your desk, your computer); or near vision (reading a book; anything closer than arm's length).

Bifocals

Bifocals are eyeglasses with two distinct optical powers. Bifocals are commonly prescribed to people with presbyopia who also require a correction for myopia, hyperopia, and/or astigmatism.

Often required for people who experience frequent headaches when reading. Without proper strengths to accommodate your vision, your eyes can endure a lot of strain. If you experience that throbbing sensation behind your eyes frequently then this is your first indication that bifocal lenses may be needed.

Progressives (Multifocals)

Progressive lenses cover all aspects of your vision in a single seamless lens. From distance to near vision and everything in between. They are the closest thing to natural vision.

Progressive lenses are the optimum solution for when our vision changes past 40 years of age. This is called presbyopia.

Progressive lenses are the convenient solution for people who wear glasses all the time or for people who only need them for certain tasks.

Extended Focus (Occupational)

Extended focus lenses give you so much more. Why be restricted when you can have a lens to use for your near vision (reading etc.) and your desk and computer. While most reading glasses restrict you to things closer than 50cm. Extended Focus lenses offer clear vision for tasks from 40cm to 2m or more. Perfect for the office, workshop or work area.
